Operating in a 60,000 sq. ft. facility, this company is committed to delivering high-quality, accurately manufactured products in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. Their work supports a broad range of industries, from precision-crafted components to complex enclosures.
Position Summary:The CNC Machinist will be responsible for producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills, lathes, and manual machines. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to maintain a steady work pace, and a solid understanding of machining processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret work orders, blueprints, orthographic drawings, and GD&T symbols to plan machining work.
  • Program and operate 3-Axis CNC mills using G-code and conditional logic.
  • Set up zero/reference points, tool registers, offsets, and compensation.
  • Perform drilling, tapping, turning, facing, and cutting operations.
  • Conduct precision measurements and first-run inspections.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and reprogram as needed.
  • Operate manual mills/lathes and other shop equipment (drill press, wet saw, belt sander, hydraulic press).
  • Maintain equipment through preventive maintenance and tool management.
  • Monitor and manage stock inventory levels and requisitions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in CNC machining
  • Proficient in programming and editing G-code
  • Strong understanding of geometry and trigonometry
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Familiarity with quality control processes, including First Article Inspection and PPAP
  • Basic inventory and supply management knowledge
  • Able to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in sheet metal manufacturing
  • Familiarity with CAM software such as SolidWorks
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 quality standards
  • Process improvement experience
  • Experience with manual mills and lathes

Machines & Tools Used:

  • CNC Vertical Milling Centers (e.g., Fadal VMC5020A, VMC4020B)
  • Manual mills and lathes
  • Measuring tools: calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, depth gauges
