Cloud Data Architect

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to support the Industrial System Analytics team. The role includes a data architecture component wherein you will need to learn the data in various Ford systems in order to design and build products that connect those data to support various analytical use cases.

What you'll do...

Utilizing Google Cloud Platform services for data engineering and architecture tasks

Developing data models and architecture for efficient data storage and retrieval

Designing and implementing scalable data pipelines for ETL processes

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand the needs of our data science partners and provide solutions through data products

Optimizing data infrastructure for performance and reliability

Ensuring data quality and integrity across systems

You'll have... 

Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field

Proven experience in data engineering and/or data architecture roles

Proficiency in SQL, Python, and other relevant programming languages

Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and technologies

Experience with Google Cloud Platform services (BigQuery, Dataflow, etc.)

Experience in pipeline orchestration using Airflow/Astronomer

Even better, you may have...

Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (Terraform, GitHub)

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong communication and collaboration abilities
