This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Survey CAD Technician for our Albuquerque, NM office to support our Southwest Region Geospatial / Surveying Team. The successful candidate will be part of a team conducting Land Surveying work, including but not limited to utilizing Microstation, AutoDesk Civil 3D, and ORD (Open Roads Design) to generate final cad deliverables, as well as performing records research, surveying data processing and final QA/QC of deliverables. Your Impact
- Research, collect, compile, and analyze survey records/as-builts.
- Coordinate with survey crews and preparing field survey packages.
- Perform 2D and 3D drafting, primarily utilizing Bentley software and AutoDesk Civil 3D software.
- Create and modify detailed drawings while meeting client specific drafting standards.
- Generate final survey deliverables for our various portfolio of clients.
- Work closely with project managers to QA/QC survey data and deliverables.
- Communicate with the project team to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Process VRS/Static and ground-based field survey data to incorporate this data into mapping efforts for final deliverables.
- Remain current in latest land surveying techniques and practices.
- Provide guidance and training to entry-level CAD technicians.
- Observe and comply with all company and related safety rules
- Follows state specific standards under supervision to provide professional survey assistance that accounts for accurate survey data, and determines conformance with applicable rules, standards, codes, boundaries, and construction specifications.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals, engineers, scientists, project control, and technicians on assigned survey tasks.
- Engage in occasional contact with client personnel to schedule and coordinate project survey activities.
- Remain current in latest survey knowledge, techniques, and practices.

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- 7+ years of land survey experience.
- Knowledge of Bentley software products, MicroStation, Open Roads.
- Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening.
- Ability to travel as projects dictate.
- This role is subject to a client mandated drug/alcohol testing policy. As such, employee may be subject to random drug/alcohol tests. A copy of the client mandated drug/alcohol testing policy will be provided during employee onboarding and is available upon applicant request.

Preferred Qualifications:
- NMDOT location and survey mapping experience.
- Knowledge of Geopak survey processing and commands.
- Bentley/Microstation drafting experience.
- AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting experience.
- OpenRoads drafting experience.
