Qualifications:
Required:
- Typically has the education associated with an Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field and 1-3 years of retail experience, preferably with technology related products and services.
- Employee must be, or will become, a Certified Apple Technician through Apple GSX within six months of hire to support the Apple Store Agreement and fulfill the needs of the Apple repair contract. Employee must be, or will become, trained as an Approved Dell Repair Technician within six months of hire.
- Must have the skills and training experience to provide user support and service for Apple and Dell products and services.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current computer hardware and software options useful in a university setting and related industry standards, including thorough knowledge of Apple and Dell products and applications.
- Ability to predict and interpret basic and advanced computer needs. Understanding of diagnostic procedures to troubleshoot user-correctable malfunctions/errors and the ability to recognize issues in need of referral to level I-II technical support.
- Must have very strong communication and customer service skills and demonstrated entrepreneurial success in both customer service and department operations.
Preferred:
- Experience in monitoring and reconciling financial accounts to ensure compliance with Apple Inc. GSX account procedures.
- Experience ordering computers, parts, and related accessories.
- Experience with Microsoft applications, computerized cash registers, Point of Sale and inventory management systems.
- Experience handling a diverse set of responsibilities and tasks in a fast-paced setting, sometimes under pressure or in adverse conditions.
