The Job
As a Product Developer on our Vertical Products team, you will manage the Product Development for a full spectrum of product categories in multiple Vertical brand product lines, including Outerwear, Bags, Snow Gloves, Apparel and Accessories.

What you will do
- Collaborate with the Product Manager and Design Manager to co-create critical design information related to the technical development requirements of new and updated styles.
- Effectively lead, manage, and execute the product development process from concept to commercialization through vendor communication, prototyping, and design reviews.
- Manage product brief direction and design input utilizing advanced product knowledge and understanding of the product creation process.
- Responsible for product costing and profitability. Proactively providing solutions throughout the GTM process ensuring that margin targets are achieved or exceeded.
- Present construction and production suggestions for styles not meeting target margin, mitigate quality control challenges and unlock efficiencies in the manufacturing process.
- Responsible for the accuracy of tech pack sketches and product spec information.
- Proactively drive daily communication of all product development information to the appropriate vendor, consulting with them and tracking the progress and updates.
- Responsible for documenting and listing material technical information, costs, specifications, usages, measurements, and construction.
- Advanced knowledge of construction techniques, fabrics, and trims associated with the development process.
- Responsible for leading and initiating proto reviews to evaluate and update prototypes to align with cost and margin targets, leading to on-time production confirmation.
- Engage and collaborate with Product Manager, Design Manager, and Strategy Manager on strategic long-range projects as needed.
- Stay up-to-date and share current apparel trends, understand the market and how it pertains to evo Vertical consumers.
- Lead evo Vertical quality standards by establishing a protocol that includes testing of fabrics, trims, embellishments, applications, and other components that are critical to product integrity and consumer end use.
Requirements
The Must Haves
- 6+ years of Product Development experience. Work experience directly related to apparel, accessories and/or bags is required.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously with vendor partners.
- Experience with counter-sampling and sourcing new suppliers.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, meet strict timelines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to organize imperative product information outside of PLM software platform.
