Senior Photo Archivist

Job Summary:

Overview InterSystems Corporation is seeking a seasoned professional for a full-time role dedicated to establishing and overseeing a comprehensive archival system for all photographic materials. We are seeking a candidate with demonstrated expertise in organization and meticulous attention to detail, along with a proven track record in executing creative graphic design projects.

Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the management of an online photo organization and sharing portal catering to both corporate and personal needs
• Navigate and oversee the organization of vast quantities of images and accompanying data
• Develop and maintain a sophisticated organizational framework encompassing dates, descriptions, locations, and facial recognition of photo content
• Undertake the collection, editing, and systematic organization of historical and contemporary photo inventories
• Utilize scanning technology to convert physical photos and documents into digital formats as required
• Provide comprehensive training to colleagues on best practices for photo archiving and organizational methodologies
• Execute image retouching as needed to ensure optimal quality and presentation
• Facilitate the digital distribution of event photos for widespread viewing
• Undertake project-based graphic design tasks, including the creation of custom photo albums and content upon request.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in photo, media, or data archives is highly desirable
• Exceptional organizational abilities and an unwavering commitment to precision and accuracy
• Demonstrated capacity to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively within a small team environment
• Possess a professional demeanor with the ability to engage confidently with both internal and external stakeholders
• Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, effectively prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
• Exemplary levels of discretion and a steadfast commitment to maintaining confidentiality
• Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and image retouching is essential, with preferred experience in InDesign, graphic design, and familiarity with photo-sharing platforms such as Zenfolio or SmugMug.
