Provides ongoing network / systems administration support including installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware, software, applications and connectivity components. Provides technical support and advises on the use of programming tools, database systems and networks. Provides support to address availability and reliability issues on various systems (that is, Linux, Unix, Windows) across multiple locations. Operational responsibilities include remediation of daily incident tickets, system compliance, system run enhancement, testing, staging, policy / procedure enhancement, customer contact coordination and operational recommendations.
- Support the management of our Enterprise Unified Endpoint Management Tools through network and systems administration.
- Develop and uphold administration policies and guidelines.
- Gain insight into the connections between team responsibilities, IT, engineering roles, and business user interactions.
- Enhance the quality and efficiency of personal work outputs.
- Eagerly acquire knowledge about team functions and their importance.
- Contribute to special projects as needed.
- Support disaster recovery processes and compliance with regulatory requirements (PCI/DSS, SOX).
- Implement and test infrastructure configurations for Software Delivery products (e.g., Radia).
- Handle and resolve requests in the work queue, including project tasks and ticket resolutions.
- Facilitate the installation, maintenance, and support for new and existing client engagements.
- Diagnose and rectify issues with Software Delivery products.
- Offer technical and system support to both internal and external clients as necessary.
- Adhere to Change Management protocols (RFC).
- Ensure the creation and clarity of documentation for internal processes and procedures in line with ITIL standards.
- Guarantee the prompt completion of all allocated tasks and projects.
- Design tests for hardware and software performance, including stress and load testing, and provide recommendations based on findings.
- Engage in, and offer high-level support for, both team-specific and cross-functional projects.
- Influence the overall productivity and effectiveness of the team.
- Occasionally offer guidance to team members with less experience.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with at least 3 years of professional background.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed and be available for on-call duties.
- Proficient in the following technologies:
- Expertise in Software Delivery Solutions (e.g., Radia, SCCM, Altiris, CA Unicenter, IBM Bigfix).
- Competency in operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
- Knowledge of WAN/LAN configurations.
- Skilled in scripting languages including VBS, PowerShell, Rexx, and Batch.
- Familiarity with programming languages or a proven ability in debugging.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Openness to travel up to 10% of the time, including international destinations.
- Advanced experience with:
- ATM Applications (Vista, Agilis, Aptra, Proflex, etc.).
- Background in Professional Service, Managed Service, or technical systems administration.
- Antivirus solutions (SEP, McAfee, Vipre, Panda, Kaspersky, Bitdefender, etc.).
- Intrusion prevention solutions (CSP, McAfee Solid Core, etc.).
- Proficiency in Active Directory.
- Experience with Hard Drive Encryption solutions (Bitlocker, etc.).
- Project management skills.
- Certifications such as Microsoft (MCSE, MCITP, etc.) and Cisco (CCNA, etc.).
- Security certifications are highly regarded.
Salary Range: $80,000 to $100,000. Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including your qualifications, skills, competencies and relevant experience.
