About the role
The Production Analyst supports inventory and manufacturing operations through advanced data tracking, reporting, and analysis. This role leads efforts to maintain high-quality data, improve reporting processes, and develop tools to increase operational visibility. This position serves as a key resource for production data integrity and cross-functional coordination. A successful candidate will be able to communicate with Production, Inventory, and Financial teams from Associate to Management level.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Collect, manage, and validate data from production and inventory sources
- Analyze trends in inventory or production data to suggest improvements
- Generate charts and reports for operations meetings and audits
- Coordinate data-related tasks with production, inventory, and quality teams
- Support cycle count accuracy, inventory control reports, and usage reports
- Lead small projects to improve data clarity or reporting efficiency
- Provide training or guidance to junior data coordinators or floor staff
- Able to articulate financial and inventory impacts during job closing
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Intermediate Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, sumifs, logic tests and chart creation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot data issues independently
- Experience with data management and analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience with ERP systems required, Deacom preferred
- Comfortable working with multiple departments to resolve discrepancies or fulfill reporting needs
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of chart of accounts, GLs, and financial reporting a
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus
- Experience assisting in inventory reconciliation or workflow planning a plus
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associates or equivalent experience and certifications preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a role responsible for interacting with Production or Work Orders.
- Previous accounting experience preferred
Working Conditions:
- This position will expose the employee to a mix of office and manufacturing environments
- This role requires working in cold environments, averaging 40F and occasionally as low as -4F.
