Overview

SUMMARY: The Accounting Assistant will provide administrative support to the Director of Finance, as well as to the General Manager. Administrative duties may include, but are not limited to, assisting with payroll, assisting with A/P and A/R responsibilities, assuring compliance in hourly employee personnel files, filing, and general clerical duties.

 

This role will pay an hourly rate of $18 to $20, approximately 30 hours per week.

This position will remain open until April 18, 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Provide basic accounting support - including A/P, A/R, coding invoices.
  • Provide general office and clerical support including – copying, filling, mail, and supplies.
  • Provide basic payroll support including - assisting with payroll processing, timekeeping, and reconciliation.
  • Assist Director of Partnerships with maintaining CRM to track contracts, payments, and renewal agreements.
  • Responsible for balancing box office revenue; recording daily box office sales and weekly receipts.
  • Anything else as requested by the Director of Finance or General Manager.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with computers in a Windows platform including Microsoft applications
  • Basic working knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment including printer, copier, computer, and postage machine.
  • Consistent and reliable attention to detail, accuracy and validity
  • Strong written and oral communications - ability to speak and write clearly and concisely, get messages across that have the desired effect
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment. Must work well under pressure of deadlines.
  • Ability to successfully interact and collaborate all team members professionally and supportively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to adhere to highest standards of ethics, integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
