Senior Associate, Restructuring

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as Senior Associate in Amsterdam. You will be involved in a wide range of interesting and challenging deals, often spanning multiple jurisdictions. As a Senior Associate you will take risks and adopt change to solve problems. You will be a team player and have innovative ideas in our Restructuring business. This is a unique opportunity to develop your skills in insolvency, restructuring and litigation support through exposure to working with lenders, investors, companies, and their advisors in distressed and urgent situations.
Day-to-day Responsibilities:
- High-profile insolvency and restructuring assignments and investigations and complex cross-border matters
- Assisting with day-to-day management of engagements such as financial and operational restructuring, official and voluntary liquidations, other formal and informal insolvency and restructuring procedures
- Drafting sections of detailed, complex reports and documents for Courts, creditors and stakeholders
- Monitoring progress and ensuring completion of client work to statutory and client deadlines
Essential Traits:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
- An insolvency, accounting, or legal background and a qualification from an internationally recognized institution or professional body
- A minimum of 3 years of recent relevant experience in restructuring/ forensic accounting/ insolvency advisory field
- Driven, displays leadership skills, influences others as well as collaborative problem solver;
- Risk tolerant and comfortable in a rapidly changing environment
- Good business sense and a proactive, can-do attitude
- Ability to practically apply knowledge to identify issues and solve complex problems
- Strong financial, business analytical and report writing skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
