Overview

IMPORTANT – PLEASE NOTE: This is a remote position.* We are seeking a fluent Spanish and English writing and speaking candidate. The first six weeks will consist of all-day virtual training to ensure team members are fully equipped to interact with sponsors and donors. To be considered for this position, you must be available to attend each day of virtual training. Once virtual training is completed and on-the-job training begins, your regular schedule will consist of five days within Monday through Saturday, sometime between the hours of 7:00am MT – 5:30pm MT.

*Candidates local to Colorado Springs, CO are welcome to train and work in-person at the Global Ministry Center.

As a Social Media Customer Service Associate in our Contact Center, you will ensure that outstanding customer service is provided to people who engage with Compassion’s social media channels. You will collaborate with other team members to monitor our social media outlets and provide both proactive and reactive customer service. You will also research and execute innovative ways to support and educate sponsors via social media.

It’s important to note that this is not a content creation or marketing position. We're looking for someone who exhibits empathy and patience when engaging with supporters and longs to develop relationships between Compassion and our supporters. If you have a heart for customer service, are an excellent writer, and want to be part of a service-minded team, you might be the person we’re looking for!

What is required for consideration?

In order to be considered, please submit two writing samples that demonstrate your customer service abilities. Please note that one sample must be in English and one sample must be in Spanish. This includes customer service emails or other responses (redact any personal/sensitive information) you have sent. If you don’t have a relevant example, or if you’d like to add further samples, please find 1-2 questions in the comments section of a Compassion post on Facebook or Instagram, and respond as if you were a member of our customer service team. Attach your sample(s) as one document, separate from your resume. Responses must be written in your own words, reflecting personal work. Please do not copy from a template or other sources.

What will you do?

  • Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintaining a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully uphold Compassion’s ministry in prayer.

  • Act as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understand Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commit to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abide by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Report any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately support responses to incidents if they occur.

  • Uphold and engage in Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors
