Senior Engineering Technician
We have an opportunity for an Engineering Technician to join our growing team in Ashburn, VA
As our Engineering Technician you will implement and streamline methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. You will prepare test and diagnostic programs, operate test fixtures and equipment, and complete specifications and procedures for new products. As well you will assist with the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standards and special devices.
Location: Ashburn VA
Salary Range: $ 27.93 - $37.21 per hour

Your Challenge:
Performs a wide variety of routine and semi-routine tasks related to the testing of raw materials, manufactured products or manufacturing processes.
Utilizing automated test equipment, including thermal and vibration chamber to perform acceptance test of products.
Reviews test procedures for accuracy against release drawings.
Reviews and evaluates test failures, in-process rejections and trends, recommending corrective action as appropriate.
Provides assistance in the areas of predictability, manufacturing processing, equipment and process improvement.
Provide technical training to other technicians.
What you bring:
Associates degree or foreign equivalent preferred
3-5 years’ experience in relevant industries
Experience with automated testing
ERP systems
LabVIEW a plus
Strong Cross functional communication ability
Technical communication
Familiar with ISO/AS9100 standards
Ability to lift 45 lbs

The Curtiss-Wright 33,000 square-foot facility in Ashburn has been operating since 1991 and employs over 60 people, of whom almost 80 percent are engineers. Curtiss-Wright’s stringent quality procedures govern all activities at the Ashburn facility. The Ashburn facility delivers integration support for customers that need a custom-specific solution with a combination of Curtiss-Wright and third-party products. Curtiss-Wright’s Ottawa, Canada facility is the primary manufacturing source for products designed and developed at the Ashburn facility. US-based manufacturing sources are also available for programs that require manufacturing in the US. The Ashburn facility holds an AS9100D/ISO 9001:2015 Certificate for Quality Management.
