Compression Systems Engineering (CSE) is looking for a self-motivated and disciplined individual to join the CIPT as the GTF High Pressure Compressor (HPC) Engineering MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) Lead. The MRO Lead is a critical role within the Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) and must be able to decompose complex requests from MRO network to various engineering disciplines such as aerodynamics, mechanical design, systems, structures as well as manufacturing & assembly. This portion of the CIPT is in Phase 5, which focuses on service and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- The MRO Lead must be capable understanding of the challenging technical and producibility requirements for the module and will be focused on interacting with Customer Technical Services (CTS), Model Integrated Product Team (MIPT), Integrated Product Management Team (IPMT), Program Chief Engineers (PCE’s), System Aftermarket Integrated Product Team (SAIPT), Engine Design and Systems Integration (EDSI) and all other levels of internal and external customers as well as CSE and our own CIPT members.
- Serve as focal point for Geared Turbo-fan (GTF) Eaglenet Cases for the MRO network and align with CTS and CAIPT on priorities
- Coordinate day-to-day activities with Integrated Product Team (IPT) members as well as lead discussions with SAIPT, MIPT, and IPMT for GTF programs
- Provide recommendations on limits expansions based on One-Time Concessions and execute limits expansion activities in alignment with aftermarket strategy
- Ensure all Eaglenet Cases are dispositioned on time and ensure alignment of major decisions with CIPT Leader/Deputy and technical discipline managers
- Work seamlessly with our MTU partner on the HPC front block, while ensuring to protect Pratt & Whitney intellectual property
Basic Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering with 5+ years of relevant job experience OR
- Advanced degree with 3+ years relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS/MBA
- Demonstrated effectiveness in working across functions, organizations, and all levels of management
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles (e.g., Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Engineering Standard Work (ESW), Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) Operating System)
- Knowledge and experience working within SAP
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Focus on results and the ability to drive tasks to completion
