Now Hiring: Le Meridien Sheraton Charlotte Hotel HR Assistant Manager
The Human Resources Assistant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day Recruiting, Employee Relations, Benefits Management and HRIS functions of the Company. Reporting to the Director of HR, the Human Resources Assistant Manager provides guidance and support to leaders and employees of the Company for a wide range of HR related needs. This person will be responsible for keeping current with company, state and federal guidelines regarding employment law, regulatory changes, and trends/best practices and providing advice to management as appropriate. Our team coordinates and facilitates a variety of HR initiatives to support our associates so we can continue to keep growing.
- Handle day to day employee relations issues to support our team members while simultaneously supporting operational objectives
- Serve as a business partner between management and employees by handling questions, complaints, conflicts resolution in all employee relation matters and provide appropriate guidance and paperwork as necessary.
- Maintain and oversee employment policies & procedures, compensation, employee benefits, evaluations, and other HR programs.
- Conduct new employee orientations and other training programs within the hotel. Will assist in planning general meetings, holiday parties and more.
- Administer employee recruiting/exit activities such as employee benefits/wage & salary programs, employee recognition, employee referral, and employee wellness programs, etc.
- Administer and provide recordkeeping of all safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
- Perform Workers' Compensation/Safety claims filing and report in support of Operations Management.
- Serve as an office manager to control office supplies and its inventory management, office security control while performing general affair duties and tasks.
- Support local programs that attract, retain and engage employees
- Contribute to communication within the center making sure that internal upward and downward communication flows smoothly
- Be a regular presence throughout the hotel and various departments and actively interact with supervisors and associates to ensure that they are engaged in productive work and systems are functioning properly
- Other duties and responsibilities assigned by management of the company
Hours are Mon- Fri 9am to 5pm. Previous Hotel HR experience is highly desired.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field. Professional HR certification desirable.
- Minimum of 4 years of general office experience.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines and maintain a high degree of judgment and discretion, especially when working with information that is confidential in nature.
- Ability to react to change productively. Must be able to handle multiple tasks that have sensitive completion dates and times.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to clearly communicate recruiting, benefit, payroll, policies and other human resource information to the general public and personnel at all levels of the organization.
- Well-organized and attentive to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications, including Outlook, Excel, word, and Teams.
- Ability to navigate HR systems (HRIS), and resource and navigate necessary websites with ease.
- Ability to learn and retain new information quickly
- Polite and professional demeanor always.
- Ability to maintain required confidentiality of employee information and other sensitive information
- Excellent time management and organizational and communication skills
- Experience in maintaining accurate employee files
- Effective and timely completion of requested paperwork
- Experience in Benefit enrollment and annual open enrollment
- Willingness to complete any other task that may be necessary as directed
