The Position:

The Warehouse Manager / Pharmacy Technician Lead is responsible for overseeing the pharmacy's purchasing, production, and fulfillment operations. This role manages the workflow and assignments of pharmacy and warehouse technicians, ensuring high-quality service in materials handling, procurement, receiving, warehousing, and distribution. Additionally, the position plays a key role in training and developing pharmacy technicians, enhancing their skills and compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities include:

• Supervise pharmacy and branch procurement, receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations. Initiate, coordinate, and enforce program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements. Stay updated on legislation changes and enforce adherence to these requirements.
• Establish and monitor security procedures and protocols to safeguard warehouse operations and contents.
• Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts, reconciling with the pharmacy management system, and managing stock levels, including monitoring expired products and processing returns.
• Assist in maintaining the physical condition of the pharmacy, sterile product complex, and warehouse. Collaborate with the Operations Director and Pharmacy Manager on facility needs.
• Lead the training and development of pharmacy technicians, ensuring they are proficient in pharmacy operations and compliant with USP 797 and USP 800 standards, as well as state Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Participate in and promote the company’s quality assurance and performance improvement programs.

Schedule:

• Must be able to work Monday-Thursday 7:30am-6pm or Tuesday-Friday 7:30am-6pm
• Must be able to participate in an on-call rotation every 4th weekend
• Must have IV compounding experience in the work setting (prefer Hospital or Specialty Infusion Pharmacy experience)
• Must be licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Arizona
• Must be PTCB/Nationally Certified

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory responsibility in a warehouse setting.
• Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), or as required by state Board of Pharmacy.
• Proficient in inventory control, safety management, and equipment maintenance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent planning, problem-solving, organizational, and time management capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and lead one.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
