Job Summary 

The Packing & Crating Team Lead is the First-line technical authority responsible for the daily packing and crating operations for high-value medical imaging equipment, ensuring shipments meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirements while coaching technicians and preventing damage, delays, or non-conformances.

Main Responsibilities:

• Leads and coordinate daily packing activities. Act as escalation point for packing issues
• Assigns work based on load plans. He/she balances schedule, quality, and safety priorities.
• Interpret and enforce packing instructions and specs. Ensure compliance with ISO / FDA / internal SOPs
• Own damage-prevention and corrective actions
• Participate in hiring and performance feedback. Onboard new hires and validate competency
• Train and coach packing technicians. Reinforce discipline, checklist usage, and 5S
• Enforce EHS standards and PPE compliance. Stop work when unsafe conditions exist
• Interface with Production, Quality, Warehouse, and Logistics teams. Communicate readiness, delays, and risks early. Align    packing schedules with shipping plan.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, packing, or industrial logistics environment and 3 years in a lead or supervisory role, managing direct reports.
• Experience with high-value or regulated products.
• Proficiency in MS products (Excel, Outlook, Share Point, Teams)
• Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement exposure
• Team player, enjoys working with people from multiple departments and committed to providing excellent customer satisfaction
• Strong sense of urgency 
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with an awareness of deadlines and responsiveness
• Medical device, aerospace, or defense background a plus
