Job Description:
Responsible for performing shipping and/or receiving activities using company operating systems. Loading and unloading trucks, packing products, counting and checking outbound or inbound shipments for accuracy, processing related paperwork and records. Transporting products and material from/to internally locations
Essential Functions:
Perform and manage shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment
Track all production and non-production material using a Product Tracking System
Prepare and maintain shipping and receiving documentation
Stocks and distributes materials in inventory.
Maintain Inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies
Identify and escalate problems in straightforward situations to management for resolution
Verify and inspect for non-conforming material in accordance with company procedures
Safely handle, transfer, and transport chemicals per safety guidelines
Maintain records of received goods and process freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents
Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, tow motors, forklifts) upon certification
May perform wood shop functions for building skids and crates
Ensure compliance with material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements
Utilize knowledge of e3 practices to support team members and continuously improve processes and procedures for cost optimization.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience with FedEx and/or UPS online shipping software.
Experience with the use of power tools and hand tools.
Experience in the use material handling equipment: pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards
Strong communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Basic computer knowledge
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
Flexible and willing to support different areas within the department as needed.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York (Greater NYC. area) is $17.75 MIN - $32.45 MAX.
