MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Systems Administrator to join our team in Patuxent River, MD.  This is a full-time onsite position.
 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Create software applications, test and evaluate applications, and tweak and improve applications to make them user-friendly.

• Assist in the definition, development, testing, analysis, and maintenance of new or existing software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements. This may include writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications.

• Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements.

• May maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.

• May deploy and administer on-premises systems (e.g. VMware, Horizon, ESXi, WYSE) with an emphasis on high availability, scalability, and cost optimization.

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell.

• Collaboration with DevOps, software engineering, and security teams to optimize system performance and reliability

Minimum Qualifications:

• ​ Mater’s degree in technical or business discipline with 8+ years of systems administration  or similar work experience, or a Bachelor’s degree plus 12+ years of experience, or an Associates degree with 14 years of experience may be substituted for the Master’s degree

• 5+ years of experience in Systems Administration or Engineering of Virtualization, High Performance Computing (HPC), storage, and networking

• Experience building and administering systems using Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8.10, Windows 11 Enterprise, and/or Windows Servers 2019/2022 Enterprise

• Experience administering VMware environments (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, VMware Horizon VDI)

• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity compliance, including STIGs, ATO processes (RMF), and vulnerability management tools (e.g., Tenable Security Center, Nessus, and Evaluate-Stig)
