Position Summary
The Vice President of Strategy & Corporate Development will lead the strategic planning, corporate development functions for the organization. This executive role is responsible for shaping the company's long-term strategic goals, identifying, and executing growth opportunities, and managing relationships with industry stakeholders. The VP will work closely with the executive team to drive business development, navigate regulatory environments, and foster strategic partnerships that align with the company's vision and objectives. Domestic and international travel may be required.
Essential Skills and Functions
- Develop and articulate a clear vision and strategic direction for the company's growth and development
- Create and implement strategic plans that align with organizational goals and market opportunities
- Make high-impact decisions regarding corporate development and government relations based on comprehensive analysis and strategic foresight.
- Lead the due diligence process for potential deals, including financial analysis, risk assessment, and market evaluation
- Develop and implement communication strategies to effectively convey the company's strategic goals
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in the industry.
- Analyze competitors' strategies and performance to inform strategic decisions and identify competitive advantages.
- Oversee budgeting processes related to strategic initiatives and corporate development projects.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of strategic initiatives and make necessary adjustments.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and cross-functional cooperation
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., finance, legal, operations) to ensure integrated execution of strategic initiatives.
- Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite computer skills
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance related to strategic projects.
- Mentor and lead a high-performing team.
- Must have strong organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills
- Manage complex projects from inception through execution
- Must have ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor
- All employees are required to adhere to ISO and OHSAS policies established by FMG and shall have high values for safety awareness
