Job Description

AECOM Hunt has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned General Superintendent for our new project in Tampa, FL.

• Accountable and overall responsibility for on-site administrative and technical management for a wide range of construction projects. 
• Leads, directs and manages the entire direction of construction and related activities within assigned area of responsibility, which may be a single area, multi-area or a multi-discipline construction project. 
• Primary Liaison with client for day-to-day activities and long-term operations. 
• Communicates and directs through other superintendent's changes or modification of jobsite activities within assigned area of operations. 
• Accountable for compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule, within budget and to quality standards. 
• Primary interface and engagement with Project Executive and manager group to coordinate efforts.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirement:

• BS Engineering/Construction Management or related curriculum and 12 years of relevant construction management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Requirements: 

• 12 years of construction project management experience. 
• Experience from a large general contractor.
• Experience in bidding, preconstruction, materials management, logistics, etc. of large construction projects.
• Relevant construction experience in: 
  • hospitality
  • entertainment
  • sports venue
  • airport
• Experience as a General Superintendent managing construction projects in excess of 3 Billion.

• This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future.
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
• This position is not hybrid nor remote.
• Valid Driver’s License to operate an AECOM provided motor vehicle on construction project site(s) to support project tasks assignments and scope of work. For positions with driving responsibilities, Motor Vehicle Records are reviewed as part of AECOM’s background check process to ensure compliance with the Company’s driving standards.
