Due to continuous growth and expansion, Pharmathen offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to attract an Indirect Spend Procurement Senior Officer for the Costing & Indirect Procurement department in our Marousi premises.

As an Indirect Spend Procurement Senior Officer, the ideal candidate will support budget holders with sourcing strategies and in-depth internal and external market analyses/ act as an internal advisor, influencing functional decision makers and budget holders about their spend.

Requirements

More particularly:

What you will do:

• Handle several indirect spend categories, both technical and non-technical (stationery, production, warehouse ,cleaning consumables, HR services, H&S services, etc)
• Manage requisitions on a daily needs’ basis and place orders through negotiation and as per the group’s procurement procedures
• Evaluate existing and new suppliers based on economic, commercial and qualitative criteria
• Effective sourcing for indirect spend categories
• Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts - In conjunction with the legal department, draft and/or review contracts from an economic, commercial, qualitative and service requirements point of view
• Maintain purchasing function data in SAP (purchasing orders, price catalogues, contracts)
• Update and create related reports and analyses

The ideal candidate should have:

• BSc Degree in Finance, Economics, Chemistry or other related subjects. A post graduate degree will be considered an asset
• At least 3 years of experience in indirect procurement of an industrial/ manufacturing company. Experience in Pharma industry is a plus

Job-Specific Skills:

• Procurement experience in CapEx equipment is required
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel) - Experience with SAP is desired
• Proven negotiation skills
• Positive thinker with the ability to engage all relevant stakeholders
• Excellent communication in English language, both written and oral
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
• Ability to identify and implement cost savings across all categories of indirect goods and services
• Attention to detail
