SALARY RANGE: $178,500.00 - $241,500.00
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: The work involves administering and evaluating the activities of assigned clinical, non-clinical and operational departments and service lines such as Dialysis, Wound Care, Palliative Care, Environment of Care, Patient Transport, Pharmacy, Clinical Laboratory and Food Service. The incumbent develops and implements policies and procedures, administers support services in alignment with ECMCC strategic objectives and legal/regulatory requirements, ensures the performance of industry-best practices, and serves as the focal point for communication and coordination across departments and vendors. The incumbent is responsible for implementing and monitoring Accountable Care Organization (ACO) activities as an integral part of departmental and service line operations. Work is performed under the general direction of the Senior Vice President of Operations. Supervision is exercised over lower-level administrative, professional and clerical staff. Does related work as required.

TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:
Directs operations and evaluates the performance of assigned departments and service areas in accordance with internal policies, applicable regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards;
Develops and implements policies and procedures for assigned departments and service areas;
Works collaboratively with ECMCC leadership and other stakeholders to develop and implement plans and programs, such as ACO initiatives, designed to improve operational effectiveness, improve quality of care, lower costs to ECMCC and enhance patient experience through comprehensive care integration;Ā
Oversees system integration and care transition efforts as performed by lower-level staff within assigned areas of responsibility; collaborates with applicable ECMCC functions, such as information technology, finance and clinical staff, to further integrate services and develop data management and reporting structures within the ECMCC enterprise;
Develops goals and objectives for achieving performance incentives to ECMCC through its participation in the ACO program; monitors and reports on the status of incentives achieved and their financial impact on ECMCC;
Oversees the development and implementation of improvement efforts associated with patient and visitor survey data; monitors the performance of such efforts to ensure full and proper implementation as designed;
Develops budgets utilizing budgetary data and recommendations from departmental staff; monitors actual spend in comparison to allocations;
Directs the development and implementation of organizational procedures and controls to promote communication and adequate information flow to support overall management control systems;
Evaluates the performance of operating practices for consistency with organizational policies and objectives;
Assists with oversight of the integration of Environment of Care (EOC) initiatives and applicable infection prevention and control standards for appropriate practice and consistency with organization policies, practices and objectives;
Manages assigned employees and establishes staff performance and development goals; monitors and evaluates staff performance, conducts annual performance appraisals and administers salary adjustments.

Thorough knowledge of modern principles and practices of healthcare administration and organization; thorough knowledge of the principles of organization and management as they pertain to support services utilized in healthcare; thorough knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, rules and accreditation standards as they relate to healthcare administration and support services utilized in healthcare; thorough knowledge of Accountable Care Organizations and methods for integrating into hospital programs and evaluating effectiveness; thorough knowledge of hospital budgetary and financial systems; ability to coordinate various activities involved in healthcare operations; ability to develop, manage and monitor budgets; ability to develop, implement and evaluate hospital programs; thorough knowledge of infection prevention and control standards and practices; ability to direct and evaluate the work of others; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse constituency; ability to utilize a variety of electronic software applications; sound professional judgment; capable of performing the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered
