Physician Assistant - Trauma/SICU/Burn and Gen Surgery -  Per Diem - Nights - Cornell Campus

Practice the art and science of evidence-based medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Lead the charge in improving the patient care experience. Join an action-oriented team at an Ivy League medical center and go to the next level in your PA career. Work closely with Residents, covering the patient floor and ICU. 

Manage a variety of post-operative patients from different surgical sub-specialties, including trauma patients, general surgery, OB/GYN, plastics, vascular, surgical oncology, colorectal, urology, bariatric, liver, renal, endocrine, and acute critical care surgery.  In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to do trauma consults on all floors and the trauma bay.  You’ll be joining the world-renowned Level I Trauma Center in the country.  This role involves no OR time.

The per diem position will cover any of the following services: trauma/SICU, Burn ICU, and General Surgery.

Schedule: Night shift (from 6:00pm to 6:30am) including weekends with flexibility to work day shift.

Preferred Criteria

• Prior experience in Trauma Surgery or the intensive care unit

Required Criteria

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies

• Current NYS licensure

• NCCPA certification
