About the role

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Define and track complex projects, often involving multiple departments, companies and third parties.
  • Prepare and present reports for upper management regarding status of project.
  • Work directly and coordinate meetings, deadlines and requirements with other departments and vendors to ensure all aspects of each project are completed.
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and perform a variety of tasks. Lead and direct the work of others.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects
  • Manage multiple projects and teams concurrently.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Establish and maintain the relationship with internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Schedule and meet with teams to clarify specific requirements of each project.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs
  • Draft memos for executive leadership on potential projects, current projects and completed projects.
  • Day-to-day project coordination of various projects. This includes meeting all assigned projects deadlines, clear and concise communication and accountability.
  • Build strong relationships with teams and stakeholders to enable collaborative and effective dialogue.
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Familiarity with telecommunications companies a plus but not required.
  • A wide degree of creativity and problem-solving skills is expected.
  • At least five years of experience in Project Management in telecommunications or technology industry with demonstrated success in project management roles.
  • Experienced in PMbok Standards and Processes (PMP certification a plus).
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications (MS Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Visio)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
  • Exceptional aptitude with business correspondence, telephone skills, computer expertise including research and data analysis
  • Comfortable in Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to think outside the box
  • May be able to work remote but available for meetings at various locations
