Responsibilities and Impact:
As the Associate Director of Commercial Systems and Tools for Market Intelligence, you will lead the engagement and optimization of third-party tools within our commercial organization. Your role will encompass the entire lifecycle of third-party partnerships, from identifying needs to vendor selection, onboarding, integration, and driving adoption through sales training while fostering strong relationships with vendors and managing the overall third-party commercial tool ecosystem. You will also develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure tool effectiveness and enhance return on investment (ROI) through targeted enablement programs.
Become a recognized subject matter expert on the SalesTech ecosystem, knowledgeable of tools for primary functions such as: prospecting, contact research, sales, and customer engagement
In collaboration with Commercial Marketing, innovate, improve, and add value to the integration between the MarTech ecosystem and third-party tools.
Documents the product/project roadmap and release notes across all 3rd party commercial tooling projects and maintains visibility to all work underway.
Gather feedback from leadership, field sales and management on what existing tools work well, where there is room for improvement, and other tools that may be of interest
Develop a framework for new vendor evaluation, inclusive of:
Alignment between sales personas and tools.
S&P’s vendor principles and vendor onboarding process.
Lead cross-functional internal team meetings to manage status of new vendor implementation and share feedback.
In partnership with the Sales Education team, design and implement comprehensive onboarding and continued education programs for sales, inclusive of:
Training curriculum
Well-defined quantitative and qualitative success metrics such as time to ramp and time to effectiveness
Maximize tooling investment by driving utilization and adoption of commercial tools as well as establish and maintain formal and informal key performance indicators to track effectiveness and ROI.
Lead quarterly business reviews of our 3rd party toolkit, highlighting trends in specific tools, upcoming renewals and opportunities for optimization.
Act as a trusted advisor to our Sales and Customer Growth Office leadership teams, partnering to identify opportunities for sales process and performance improvement via 3rd party tools
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $108,388 to $161,935. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
8+ years experience, with 6+ years experience in a commercial or sales enablement role
Passion for enabling sales channels with tools for success
Experience working in a fast-changing environment that requires strategic thinking, results-oriented decision-making, and an understanding of complex sales cycles, processes, and methodologies
Strong consultative skills, including conducting discovery, problem solving, and facilitating workshops/learning opportunities
Excellent organizational and time management ability, ability to operate independently
