Lonza Walkersville is hiring a Manufacturing Lead Technician who will be responsible for leading the daily operation of the LAL cleanrooms, Finishing and Inspection Area activities. This Manufacturing Lead Technician will coordinate the Filling and Finishing staff to ensure the manufacturing schedule is executed according to proper procedures and guidelines. The Manufacturing Lead Technician maintains the operation of the LAL manufacturing area within the requirements of cGMP and ISO 9001 regulations. Also, ensures a safe working environment at all times.
The work schedule for this 3rd shift position is Sunday 11:30 PM - Friday 8:00 AM at our Walkersville, MD site.
Key responsibilities:
- Leads and coordinates activities on the production floor
- Demonstrates mastery knowledge of LAL Manufacturing/Processing in a manner that us recognized by colleagues as a valuable source of expertise
- Actively coaches and mentors junior level technicians on the floor
- Participates in development planning and performance review of junior level technicians by providing feedback to management regarding day to day performance
- Participates in IDP and MAP planning
- Leads LAL specific manufacturing projects and campaigns
- Leads and coordinates continuous improvement initiatives (OE)
- Must demonstrate an understanding of production timelines, constraints, and workload management
- Serves as manufacturing designee on the production floor while maintaining high quality and compliance
- Participates in scheduling activities
- Demonstrates mastery knowledge of Trackwise while participating in the management of all records
- Primary trainer of all LAL Finishing processes
- Serves as the back-up for a Supervisor
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key requirements:
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent required. Bachelors degree in Science or similar, preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience from a of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) environment, required.
