Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing effective and inspiring leadership, including supervisory oversight to LPNs, RNs, Behavioral Specialists and other clinical staff, and holding team members accountable for meeting the expectations of the organization
  • Ensuring that each of the organization’s Clinical Services-related programs and services operates consistently in alignment with the organization’s mission and values and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations
  • Building strong relationships with applicable stakeholders and serving as the organization’s spokesperson, internally and externally, on matters related to Clinical Services
  • Providing information to the Board of Directors regarding the performance and delivery of Clinical Services
  • Staying abreast of updates to rules, regulations and requirements, as well as industry best practices, that impact the Clinical Services provided by the organization
  • Ensuring that
  • Communicating with DBHDD on matters pertaining to nursing, in-home support, crisis and other matters related to Clinical Services.
  • Partnering with Compliance and other departments to create corrective action plans pertaining to Clinical Services, designed to mitigate risk and improve the quality of services provided
  • Hiring and firing Clinical Services staff, including selecting and removing contract personnel
  • Ensuring that Clinical Services staff appropriately and timely complete documentation needed for billing and provide same to Finance
  • Ensuring that healthcare plans for relevant individuals are timely and accurately completed and provided to Finance
  • Ensuring that staff across the organization who deliver programs and services to I/DD individuals receive appropriate medication administration and healthcare plan training
  • Managing the process for In-Home Support Services
  • Ensuring that admissions, discharges and movements of individuals the organization are aligned with the organization’s mission and values, as well as applicable funding models and revenue sources, and that all necessary assessments associated with such movements are completed in a thorough and timely manner
  • Creating strategies to enhance the organization’s Clinical Services, in alignment with applicable regulations, funding models, contractual obligations and budgetary restraints
  • Preparing budgets for each of the Clinical Services-related programs and services offered by the organization and ensuring the disciplined management of financial resources
  • Developing long-term strategic goals for each of the Clinical Services-related programs and services offered by the organization
  • Fostering a transparent and safe environment for staff to report challenges and ask questions/seek guidance
  • Meet all requirements and serve as the lead DDP/Agency Director for the Clinical Services-related programs and services delivered by the organization, to include:
    1. Overseeing the services and supports provided to individual for general guidance to the provider agency in areas of compliance and quality improvement;
    2. Assuring that the supports provided are within the scope of the agency’s service enrollment and experience to ensure effective delivery;
    3. Assuring that the services address the individual’s needs and adhere to the application of person- centered values, choice and individual’s rights;
    4. Providing, arranging or overseeing curricula used in staff training and directed to service delivery in the context of the individual’s goal(s) and objectives;
    5. Recommending other needed services/supports or changes to the delivery model using a continuous quality improvement approach;
    6. Providing consultation to the provider agency in ISP implementation strategies that are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, realistic and time limited
