POSITION SUMMARY

The Illinois Department of Central Management Services is seeking to bring aboard an Account Technician to assist with accounts, payment of invoices, processing payments, and billing items with the Bureau of Property Management. This position will also work closely with vendors and contractors regarding account items. All are encouraged to apply!

POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Under general supervision of the Contracts/Obligations Manager, receives, audits, reviews for accuracy, processes, and approves for payment invoices in SAP (systems, applications, and products) for the Facilities Management Revolving Fund (FMRF).
• Supports the Manager in the preparation of reconciliations.
• Receives and responds to correspondence and phone calls from vendors pertaining to service questions, policies, rules, regulations, billing procedures, payments, processing, complaints, and other general questions or inquiries. 
• Reviews the Expenditure documents to ensure compliance with CMS rules and regulations including approval signatures from Facility Managers where necessary as well as ensure appropriate funding is available for the requests. 
• Provides support to clerical staff as requested by the Manager.
• Processes, reconciles, and maintains various financial statements and reports for the purpose of budgeting and expenditure reviews. 
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of two years of college and completion of an approved training course or three years of related clerical bookkeeping experience.
