THE OPPORTUNITY:

Sephora Internships provide an inclusive and comprehensive experience that equips young professionals with the tools needed to align their passions with work. The 10-week internship program develops early career professionals by providing interns with hands-on learning, personal and professional networking opportunities, and the ability to work on projects that directly impact the business.

 

The Sephora internship program is also a prerequisite for consideration for LEAP, the cross-functional rotational program that provides on-the-job training in each of three Business Units-Supply Chain, Marketing, and Merchandising, over the course of nine months.  LEAP prepares successfully performing trainees for a full-time, entry-level role in one of the three Business Units.  Interns are invited to apply to LEAP at the beginning of the summer internship. 

 

PROGRAM DETAILS:

An inclusive and engaging experience that develops technical and professional skills through weekly virtual workshops, networking opportunities, and career panels that provide exposure to Sephora’s career growth opportunities.

 

2026 PROGRAM DATES:

• June 1 - August 14, 2026
• Working hours: 36hrs/week. Monday – Friday, PST
• June 15 – 19:  On-Site Week in San Francisco at headquarters office
• June 29 - July 3: Week off for Summer Shutdown

 

POSITION TITLE: Analyst, Personalization Data Science (Internship)

 

YOUR ROLE AT SEPHORA...

As the Intern, Personalization Data Science, you'll build and maintain robust data pipelines to support advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives. You'll collaborate with data scientists to transform raw data from our e-commerce platform, digital marketing systems, and in-store POS into clean, analysis-ready datasets. Your work will directly impact our ability to derive actionable insights from customer behavior, product performance, and market trends in the beauty industry.

 

WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH:

• Assist in data collection and preprocessing tasks, helping to clean and organize datasets from various sources within the beauty retail ecosystem.
• Help create and update dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools to visualize key metrics for stakeholders.
• Contribute to the testing and validation of machine learning models, ensuring their accuracy and reliability before deployment.
• Collaborate with team members to conduct basic exploratory data analysis, uncovering initial insights about customer preferences and product trends.
• Assist in preparing data for analysis by performing tasks such as data aggregation, feature engineering, and format standardization.
