Job Summary: 

The Senior Project Designer will play a key role in Arch Amenities Group’s Design & Development team, overseeing all aspects of fitness and wellness facility projects from concept design through installation and project closeout. This role requires both creative vision and strong project management skills to ensure design excellence, budget alignment, and seamless delivery.

Responsibilities:

Design & Concept Development:

  • Create functional and innovative fitness, wellness, and recovery space designs.
  • Develop floor plans, renderings, equipment layouts, and design presentations.
  • Align design concepts with client goals, membership demographics, and ROI objectives.

Project Management Coordination:

  • Manage projects from initial needs analysis through installation and handover.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, and milestones.
  • Ensure all design elements (electrical, low voltage, AV, flooring, finishes) are coordinated.

Procurement & Installation Oversight:

  • Specify, budget and source fitness and wellness equipment, flooring, lockers, and recovery modalities.
  • Coordinate delivery, installation, and punch list resolution.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, brand guidelines, and safety requirements.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Present design concepts and project updates to clients and internal leadership.
  • Serve as the point of contact for client inquiries during the design/build process.
  • Provide expertise on fitness trends, wellness best practices, and facility standards.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design or related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a design, project management, or fitness/wellness facility development. 
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design software.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Knowledge of fitness/wellness equipment, recovery modalities, and facility design standards.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
