Senior Data Engineer

Definitive Logic is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Technology and Data Solutions Practice. This position is contingent upon award.
Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Co-develop production-level data science projects with our customers • Analyze and investigate various kinds of data and machine learning applications across industries and use cases • Provide data science expertise to customers and internal sales and marketing teams• Develop custom Python or R-based “plugins” in collaboration with Solutions, R&D, and Product teams• Research and integrates design strategies, product specifications, development schedules, and user expectations into product capabilities• Develop technical designs and specifications for complex data pipelines/data flows for customer/customers• Use ETL tools or languages to build, test, and maintain product modules, components, and subsystems• Identify data quality issues and potential remediations for consideration by PM and/or customer• Identify data gaps and potential remediation or integration activity for consideration by PM and/or customer• Lead and influences team on project deliverables• Drive quality assurance program for project deliverables• Create quality deliverables for customers• Drive full life cycle of services/solution delivery for project(s)• Provides technical leadership to lower-level engineers

Required Qualifcations

• 8 years of relevant experience
• Ability to clearly explain complex topics to technical as well as non-technical audiences 
• 4 years’ of experience with ML tools (e.g., Python, R) 
• 4 years’ of experience building models 
• Familiarity with data visualization in python, R 
• Understanding of underlying data systems such as Cloud architectures, or SQL
• Active Secret clearance
• Bachelor Degree
