• This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

  This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson's policies and procedures.

  General Mechanical & hand tool knowledge. Applicants who list any maintenance-related experience or education on the application or resume.

  Must meet all job bid requirements.

  Must be able to work with minimum supervision.

  Must be able to lift 75 lbs.

  Must provide own hand tools.

  Must pass safety exam within 30 days of employment in the maintenance department.

  Must pass maintenance fundamentals within 45 days of employment in the maintenance department.

  Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

  Must be able to climb ladders.

  Must be able to work in extreme temperatures.

  Must observe all required hygiene and safety rules.

  The job requires lifting, bending, twisting, and turning.

  Must complete Monthly Safety Computer Training before the end of each month.

  Prefer experience in one of the following fields

                Hydraulics

                Pneumatics

                Welding

                Mechanical

                Electrical

                Refrigeration

  Your MG level will be based on your experience and may reflect an MG level other than MG08

               

  ** If the job is Refrigeration, the applicant must successfully pass the refrigeration physical, conducted by the nursing staff onsite

  Other Hiring Criteria:

  Accepting Rehires: Yes 3 x Rule: If you have worked for Tyson Foods 3 or more times you are ineligible for rehire.

  Rehire waiting period: 1 year or 365 days.

  Benefits begin on the first day of hire.
