Job Title: Fire Alarm Installer

Job Type: Full-time, Hourly

Location: Riverside, CA

Salary Range: $35.00-$40.00 an hour

Position Overview:

 RapidFire Safety & Security is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire Alarm Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems to ensure the safety and security of our clients. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding safety standards. 

Key Responsibilities:

Installation:

• Install fire alarm systems in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings according to blueprints and manufacturer specifications.
• Run wiring and conduit, mount devices, and ensure proper system integration.
• Test and commission new fire alarm systems to ensure they function correctly.

Maintenance and Repair:

• Perform regular maintenance checks on fire alarm systems to ensure they are operational.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning systems or components.
• Replace defective or outdated equipment as needed.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure all installations and maintenance work complies with local, state, and national fire and safety regulations.
• Follow all company and client safety protocols while on the job site.
• Keep up to date with changes in fire safety codes and standards.

Customer Service:

• Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
• Provide clients with detailed explanations of their fire alarm systems and instructions for use.
• Respond to client inquiries and service requests promptly.

Documentation:

• Complete all required documentation for installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
• Prepare reports and documentation for inspections and compliance audits.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a fire alarm installer or similar role.
• Knowledge of fire alarm systems, electrical wiring, and related safety codes.
• Proficiency with tools and equipment used in fire alarm installation and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in fire alarm installation or related field.
• Experience with specific fire alarm brands and models.
• Knowledge of local, state, and national fire safety codes and standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
