Brown & Brown’s Risk Solutions team, formerly known as Beecher Carlson, is looking for a Vice President, Healthcare Liability Broker to join the National Healthcare Practice remotely.

The Vice President, Healthcare Liability Broker will liaise with the insurance market to place liability coverage, including but not limited to, general liability, medical professional, and excess for large healthcare organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing client liability programs
  • Making recommendations as to coverage and market strategy
  • Preparing submissions
  • Negotiating coverage terms and pricing with underwriters and wholesalers
  • Preparing proposals and reviews proposals with clients
  • Binding coverage; initiating invoicing process.
  • Preparing surplus lines documentation as necessary
  • Receiving, reviewing, and transmitting policies of insurance
  • Requesting and processing policy endorsements
  • Initiating and conducting renewal strategy with clients
  • Maintaining currency and further develop expertise in declared sector or market area by networking and participating in professional development activities

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of relevant insurance brokerage or carrier experience
  • Must have or be able to obtain the appropriate state brokers licenses, including surplus lines licenses
  • Ability to establish work priorities and manage time effectively
  • Ability to use initiative and good judgment in accomplishing tasks with minimal errors
  • Must possess critical thinking skills
  • Establish and maintain effective work relationships and to function in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to lead/command client and/or market discussions
  • Excellent skills in the Microsoft Offices Suite
