When you apply, the information you share will be handled with care and used only for recruitment purposes within the group. <br/><br/><span>Working in Rapid Response Team this role needs to work and operate cross-functionally with SW/ FW / HW Engineering, Product Line Management (PLM), Architecture, Software Verification Team (SVT), and Global Technical Support (GTS) Teams to effectively and efficiently resolve issues affecting Customers Optical networks including subsea.<span> As an RRT Engineer you will be involved in recovery efforts during a critical outage, analyzing logs to isolate faults, determining root cause, and working towards defect resolution. In addition, RRT Engineer will be part of SW/product release cycle, providing software solutions through product enhancement, debuggability requirement etc during release planning discussions. An RRT Engineer will also work closely with SVT to optimize their test plans & RCCA discussions.</span></span></p><p> </p><p> </p>
<ul><li><span>Good subsea troubleshooting and debugging skills to Handle worldwide field escalations into Optical Systems Engineering and subsea development teams. </span></li><li><span>Investigate and troubleshoot customer issues in both Production and Lab environments to Perform efficient and detailed RCA of field issues.</span></li><li><span>Provide quick post FCS solutions to customer issues completing root cause analysis, temporary workaround for recovery and work with development team for corrective actions.</span></li><li><span>Produce and deliver post-mortem actions to prevent issues in subsea products by incorporating lessons learned from the field.</span></li><li><span>Active participation and Contribution to System Development Lifecycle processes (Product/system requirement review discussions, Software Design implementation discussions, Peer code review, Work with the Product management team for Customer scenarios and use cases). </span></li><li><span>Cross-functional coordination with multiple stakeholders within different Engineering and Services teams to preserve customer confidence / experience.</span></li><li><span>Discussing with Arch team to conclude on the necessary changes needed in Architecture if necessary.</span></li><li><span>Providing on-demand suggestions to Arch Team on Customer usage of Products to plan for Feature considerations.</span></li><li><span>Increase ability of services teams to reduce escalations to Engineering by Building tools, knowledge bases, debug recipes.</span></li><li><span>Implement process changes in Engineering org to prevent breakages, checklists, regression suites, drive custom solutions.</span><br/> </li></ul>
<ul><li><span><strong>Experience of subsea transmission technologies including spectral sharing</strong>.</span></li><li><span><strong>Engineering degree or Master from CS, EC with excellent grades</strong> from reputed institutes.</span></li><li><span>In depth knowledge of software systems, development, and operationalization in the hyperscale Data Center environment. Including Agile development, SDN, DevOps, and CI/CD environments.</span></li><li><span>Excellent design analysis skills, including experience with software modeling, understanding of platform boot-up and device drivers, hardware-software interactions (e.g. interrupt architectures etc) and dependencies, high-availability, software reuse, performance, testability, and extensibility.</span></li><li><span>Experience in either QNX or Linux RTOS Operating systems is a must.</span></li><li><span>Deep understanding of<strong> optical fiber networking including transponders, OLS, Sub-sea</strong> <strong>and optical fiber transmission properties</strong></span></li><li><span>In-depth knowledge of optical network systems including L1 layer protocols like OTN, Fiber Channel, Ethernet, SONET/SDH, L0 OADM/DWDM/CWDM/ROADM/FOADM, technologies and Management Interfaces like Netconf, Restconf, gRPC, etc.</span></li><li><span><strong>Self-Driven and willing to take own initiatives and decision making and ability to perform under pressure.</strong></span></li><li><span>Understanding of <strong>coherent communications systems</strong>, including experience with QPSK, 16QAM, and 64QAM, as we
