Responsibilities and Impact:

The Data Sourcing Manager will lead the Sourcing Operations team in sourcing, analyzing, and managing data from various internal and external sources. This role will involve overseeing third-party contractors, managing the scouting division, and handling all aspects of third-party data purchasing. The Data Sourcing Manager will ensure data integrity, compliance, and alignment with business objectives through effective collaboration with various stakeholders, while reporting and delivering results to the Director of Sourcing.

  • Lead the Sourcing Operations team in sourcing and analyzing data from diverse internal and external sources.

  • Oversee and manage relationships with third-party contractors to ensure quality and compliance in data sourcing.

  • Direct the scouting division to identify new data opportunities and enhance sourcing strategies.

  • Manage all aspects of third-party data purchasing, including vendor negotiations and budget oversight.

  • Report and deliver results related to data sourcing initiatives and purchasing activities to the Director of Sourcing.

  • Collaborate with contract teams, product team members, the commercial team, government regulators, and third-party contractors to ensure alignment with business objectives.

  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with applicable regulations and standards.

  • Develop and implement best practices for data sourcing and management to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to inform sourcing strategies and decision-making.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $64,320 to $91,274. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Business, or a related discipline).

  • Proven experience in data sourcing, analysis, and management, with a focus on third-party data.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of data compliance regulations and best practices.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with government regulations and compliance.

  • Familiarity with third-party contractor management.
