Senior Accountant

Overview

The Senior Accountant will perform duties to assist with the month-end close, financial reporting, account analysis and reconciliations. They will assist with other analytical studies and responsibilities as required. The job has managerial responsibilities that will require coaching/mentoring. This position follows a hybrid work structure where employees must be in person in our office twice a week.

Responsibilities

Duties include but not limited to the following:

• Prepares monthly reports and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
• Prepares daily and monthly journal entries
• Prepare documentation for external auditors including analysis for single audit.
• Performs grant related functions, including budget and expense analysis; reviews general ledger transactions to ensure accuracy and complete journal entries; communicates with fiscal contacts at funding source for problem resolution and information gathering.
• Ensures accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close

Qualifications

Education/ Experience

• Accounting Degree or equivalent (Associates degree or higher)
• At least 5-7 years experience

• Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of analytical ability
• Verbal and communication skills
• Ability to act and operate independently
• Must be PC proficient
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work

Maximum Salary

USD $110,313.00/Yr.

Minimum Salary

USD $88,250.00/Yr.
