About the role:
As a Sales Solution Consultant - PreSales, you’ll utilize your in-depth product knowledge to help sales staff uncover requirements and recommend solutions. Your unique expertise will help us advance the way the world pays, banks and invests, while you advance your own career with a growing, global organization.

This role requires 20%-40% travel

About the team:

FIS has an extensive suite of technology solutions and managed services to cover all the operational needs of today’s Investment Operations, regardless of strategy or size.   With innovative solutions and flexible services covering the front-to-back-office needs of mutual funds & institutional investors, we have a team of Sales Solution Consultants who provide expertise on different parts of our Investment Operations portfolio of products. This role relates to our Transfer Agency solution, which is a real-time, multi-currency & multi-basis global platform solution for firms performing their own transfer agency tasks as well as administrators offering this service.


What you will be doing:

The Sales Solution Consultant plays an integral role in the sales process, utilizing in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff. This includes uncovering prospect requirements and identifying product functionality gaps, in order to develop, recommend, and package the best possible products/solutions and services for client prospects.  This is done through use of sales presentations, product demonstrations and proofs of concept.  The candidate must possess the following skills:

  • Deliver high quality pre-sales presentations and solution demonstrations
  • Attend annual trade shows and client events
  • Provide technical and functional expertise throughout the pre-sales process in collaboration with the sales and professional services teams
  • Identify, qualify and document clients’ business and functional requirements in order to effectively present FIS solutions, as well as identify solution gaps and communicate back to product management
  • Respond to RFI / RFP / client queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Develop new business opportunities and interface with the product management, professional services, support and development organizations
  • As a market expert, be aware of industry trends, drivers and regulatory initiatives; understand the competitive offerings and their differentiators in the market, read trade and industry journals to keep abreast of industry thoughts and initiatives


What you will need:

  • Industry experience and subject matter expertise in structured credit including the front middle and back office operations of a credit manager.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage projects with tight deadlines and work under pressure
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Work with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Product Management, and Professional Services and other organizations to help develop and progress sales opportunities
  • Ability to converse with a wide variety of audiences including end users of the software as well as technology teams and C-level decision makers
  • Proficient with enterprise software in general with strong understanding of technical concepts

The pay range for this full-time position is $96,610.00 - $159,410.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location.
