Position Overview

QinetiQ US is looking for an IT Project Manager, your role is pivotal in driving the successful completion of a wide array of IT projects within our organization. Your role will encompass the management of diverse IT projects, ranging from system integrations and implementation to infrastructure upgrades and cybersecurity initiatives. You will be responsible for steering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. This position demands a blend of technical acumen, leadership, and strategic thinking, enabling you to guide cross-functional teams and liaise with stakeholders across the organization. Your expertise will be crucial in establishing project plans, setting timelines, allocating resources, and mitigating risks, ensuring the alignment of project outcomes with the company's strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

 

Project Management and Execution:

• Lead the planning and implementation of IT projects, defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop full-scale project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, ensuring efficient and effective project execution.
• Monitor and report on project progress, managing changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.

Team Coordination and Leadership:

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Lead and motivate project team members, fostering a project environment that promotes accountability, innovation, and team spirit.
• Address any project-related issues and conflicts, facilitating resolution or escalation as necessary.

Stakeholder Communication and Management:

• Ensure constant communication with all project stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and adjustments.
• Gather, analyze, and respond to feedback from stakeholders, adjusting project direction as needed to align with business objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors, ensuring all parties are on track with project requirements.

Quality Assurance and Risk Management:

• Perform risk management to minimize project risks, developing strategies to address potential issues proactively.
• Establish and maintain quality assurance processes, ensuring that all projects are delivered to high-quality standards and are in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Strategic Planning and Analysis:

• Contribute to the development of IT strategy, aligning project objectives with overall business goals.
• Evaluate and assess project outcomes, identifying key learnings and insights to inform future projects and strategic decisions.

Required Qualifications

 

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study is preferred, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of Project management experience managing a range of technology projects.
