Job Description:

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

The Department of Chemistry seeks a postdoctoral candidate to develop new synthetic methods and apply them to the synthesis and structural modification of bioactive molecules. The successful candidate will conduct research projects in consultation with the principal investigator and team members, while also being expected to solve problems independently. Additional responsibilities include mentoring junior students, encouraging discussions during group meetings, and maintaining a safe working environment in the lab.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. in organic synthesis or synthetic chemistry, completed before start date

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in synthetic methods or organic synthesis

At least one high-impact first-author paper from doctoral research

• Experience that demonstrates strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving

• Experience working in a team setting, collaborating on projects

• Experience maintaining a safe and organized lab environment
