This unit is located at Thomas Jefferson University Methodist Campus.

Responsibilities 

 Reporting to the Nurse Manager, Patient Care Tech IIs will provide direct bedside care to patients: 
 

• Performs assigned nursing procedures for the comfort and well-being of the patient 

• Maintains appropriate documentation on all assigned patients, including flow sheets 

• Maintains advanced knowledge and experience with phlebotomy and lab specimen collection including T&S, Blood Cultures 

• Assists physicians with examinations and tests as needed 

• Other tasks include respiratory services, and rehabilitation services 
   

Qualifications 

To qualify as Patient Care Tech II, you must meet the following requirements for consideration: 
 

• High School Diploma or equivalent required 

• One of the following is required: PCT or related certification, Certified nursing assistant (CNA), EMT cert preferred

• Minimum of 2 years nursing assistant, PCT or healthcare experience required.

• AHA BLS required
