So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.</i></p><p></p><p><b>About the job</b></p><p>In this role as a Senior Automation Engineer, you will be an important part of our Automation Solutions team within the Smart Separator Systems department. You will work closely with colleagues across business areas and separator applications — from food and marine to life science projects.</p><p></p><p>This is a hands-on, senior engineering role where you will design, program, and develop automation systems for industrial processes, often in complex and demanding environments. You will contribute to standardising our software structures across applications, supporting innovation and future-ready solutions. You will also play an active role in knowledge-sharing and coaching less experienced colleagues, helping the whole team grow. Key responsibilities will include:</p><ul><li><p>Develop and program control systems for automated industrial processes.</p></li><li><p>Work with Model-Based Design (e.g., Simulink, MATLAB, Embedded Coder) to set up process control and generate code.</p></li><li><p>Apply version control and revision management tools (e.g., Git) in your daily work.</p></li><li><p>Support standardisation of automation structures across applications and projects.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate closely in a flat, international team environment where knowledge-sharing is key.</p></li><li><p>Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement, exploring new tools, trends, and future solutions.</p></li><li><p>Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for customer issues, both remotely and onsite when needed.</p></li><li><p>Add value in related areas such as Cybersecurity and Connected Services where possible.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Who you are</b></p><p>You are a collaborative and driven automation engineer who enjoys both the technical depth of programming and the broader view of system architecture. You are comfortable working in an open, team-oriented environment, where ideas are valued regardless of seniority. You enjoy solving problems creatively and have the confidence to guide projects forward while staying hands-on with the work.</p><p></p><p><b>What you know</b></p><ul><li><p>Solid experience in automation engineering for industrial processes (preferably process industry or similar).</p></li><li><p>Proficiency with PLC programming and experience with tools such as <span>MATLAB/Simulink/Embedded</span> Coder. Experience in C programming is considered advantageous.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with control systems like Siemens S7, B&R, Allen Bradley.</p></li><li><p>Understanding of Model-Based Design principles.</p></li><li><p>Understanding of process automation standards.</p></li><li><p>Experience with version control/revision management (Git).</p></li><li><p>Awareness of Cybersecurity in industrial automation (a plus).</p></li><li><p>Relevant degree in Software, Automation, or equivalent.</p></li><li><p>Fluent in English, both written and spoken (team language).</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>What’s in it for you?</b></p><p>We offer a challenging position in an open, friendly, and global environment where we help each other to develop and create value.
