Our work from home policy is flexible enabling our engineers to work from home as much as they want. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who is proficient in developing and supporting.NET solutions leveraging a MongoDB database in an Azure environment.  This resource will join an established global Software Engineering team and will assist in the development and support of one of Confluence’s larger solutions.
Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain .NET applications, emphasizing backend services.
• Utilize MongoDB databases, including crafting intricate aggregation queries.
• Deploy and oversee applications on the Microsoft Azure platform.
• Design and implement microservices using established patterns.
• Adhere to crucial design patterns and coding standards, ensuring a robust codebase.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of development processes and methodologies.
• Help with production support during working hours and suggest enhancements based on issues identified while working on support.
• Able to provide on-call support (eventually).

What skills and experience do I need to succeed?

Requirements: Must-haves:

• 4-5 years of hands-on experience in .NET development.
• 2-3 years of practical experience in MongoDB development, with a preference for proficiency in crafting complex aggregation queries.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure

 Recommended:

• Demonstrated experience in developing microservices using established patterns.
• Familiarity with Virtual Actor systems like Orleans, considered a significant advantage.
• Strong grasp of essential design patterns and coding standards.
• Proficient in Git usage.
• Familiarity with distributed system architecture and willingness to learn new technologies.
