RSDC is seeking a Property/Asset Specialist to support the National Continuity Programs' (NCP) ,Business Management Division (BMD) Asset Management Branch with inventory and tracking of NCP/BMD property at US State and Territory sites, and the development and implementation of processes to ensure accountability of NCP property, and compliance with FEMA regulatory and statutory obligations.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Perform annual inventory of FEMA owned property at sites in Regional Offices, State Emergency Operations Centers, and US Territories.
- Plan and execute site visits to locate, inventory, and accurately capture FEMA asset tag barcodes, equipment descriptions, model numbers, serial numbers and other information per defined site visit processes and procedures. Take digital pictures of equipment as required to document location and configuration.
- Attach identity tag/labels to materials, boxes equipment or marks information on cases, boxes, or other types of containers.
- Perform data entry and asset management support using FEMA SUNFLOWER asset management software.
- Reconcile discrepancies between official FEMA property system and NCP procurement records, custody receipts, and internal spreadsheets and databases.
- Provide administrative and logistics support for the distribution of new or disposition of old FEMA-owned equipment at end "useful life." Sort and load equipment onto pallets for shipment.
- Assist NCP/BMD government property custodians ensure that contractors and government employees comply with agency property accountability policies.
- Refine existing and develop new processes and procedures for capturing government-owned property data.
- Create documentation associated with the Property/Inventory Control (hand receipt documents, inventory reports, etc.)
- Create draft AMB PowerPoint presentations.
- Organize and track NCP office supplies.
- Other administrative office support as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- US Citizenship
- Ability to apply knowledge and skills to independently perform a full range of assignments with minimal supervision.
- Experience in data entry and collection – preferably using Sunflower Asset Management software.
- Able to lift 50lbs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and Power Point.
- 30%-50% travel
