Senior Accountant

<p><br/>Job Description:</p><p>Envista's Regional Accounting Group based in Prague is looking for an experienced General Ledger Senior Accountant. The Sr. GL Accountant will work within a team that is responsible for US GAAP accounting and reporting of specific assigned operating companies and/or legal entities. In addition, the GL accounting team will be responsible for regulatory financial reporting requirements, as well as compliance and implementation of internal control policies and procedures. The position is based in Prague and reports to the Regional GL Accounting Lead.</p><p></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Perform various activities within the Record-to-Report processes in line with US GAAP, and corporate policies, and concerning local statutory requirements of the European countries assigned.</li><li>Ensure accurate and timely month-end reporting and ensure all corporate deadlines are met.</li><li>Understand the balance sheet &amp; income statement impacts of every transaction to challenge or propose accounting adjustment entries, when relevant.</li><li>Coordinate all necessary supporting documentation for monthly accruals and prepayments.</li><li>Coordinate the preparation of the Balance Sheet and coordinate the monthly review and analyses.</li><li>Ensure the preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations are performed timely.</li><li>Ensure the performance of internal controls, including SOX compliance.</li><li>Ensure all internal policies and procedures are consistently followed.</li><li>Review timely tax declarations and local tax filing requirements (VAT, Corporate Tax, etc.) in with local deadlines.</li><li>Prepare statutory accounts and tax returns as well as any other local government requirements.</li><li>Support audits (internal &amp; external) including coordination of client deliverables.</li><li>Key user for specific finance systems including maintenance of respective approval matrix, training and support of department users, and documentation.</li><li>Ensure accounting documentation (Guidelines, Manuals) is complete and up-to-date.</li><li>Motivate, mentor, develop, and manage GL accounting team members.</li><li>Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the GL Accounting Team.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p>Job Requirements:</p><p>Critical Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Excellent technical financial skills.
