Cyber Systems Engineer/ Sys Admin

Responsibilities

Peraton’s Space & Intelligence Sector is looking for a Systems/Sys Admin Engineer to join our diverse team at our Herndon, VA, office. The candidate will work within a cross-functional Agile scrum team and will be responsible for integrating and troubleshooting deployed systems.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience OR a Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree requirement

• Significant experience administering Linux or other UNIX-based systems.
• Experience working with Alpine or other container-based operating environments.
• Skilled in working with DevOps or DevSecOps teams to deploy and troubleshoot systems
• Experience creating and maintaining shell scripts, including Python and Bash
• Managing SSH access and security policies across a hybrid environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Security+ or equivalent certification and willingness to serve as a privileged user and systems administrator

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
