What you’ll be doing

As a member of the Human Resources & Advisory Services team, you’ll use your Human Resources experience to advise on HR functions such as performance management, rewards and recognition, talent management, and employee relations. As a Human Resources Consultant, you’ll support our Technology, Infrastructure, and Innovation line of business by translating business needs into HR solutions, while simplifying and modernizing HR policies and practices. You’ll give people managers and their teams the tools and support they need to best serve our clients.

How you’ll succeed

  • Strategic consulting – Consult with managers to make decisions that align to CIBC’s values, adhere to HR policies, and meet legislative requirements. Work together with HR groups to solve complicated workplace and performance management issues, coordinate compliance and audit reviews, and escalate risk issues when necessary.

  • Delivering business value – Understand the priorities and operating environment of your client group, and develop and implement an HR plan grounded in their business strategy. Align talent-related practices and resources to your client group’s purpose and CIBC’s priorities.

  • Delivering on HR initiatives – Support and coordinate HR initiatives related to performance management, talent planning, and compensation reviews. Leverage your knowledge of program management to plan, manage, and implement projects that unlock the potential of our human capital and enhance CIBC’s reputation and position in the market.
