Tombras, a 450+ person, full-service, national advertising agency with a digital mindset, is seeking a Staff Accountant, Accounts Payable.

Where you'll be working: Knoxville
What you'll be doing:
- Collaborate with the media investment team to reconcile vendor invoices to approved media orders
- Identify and communicate discrepancies
- Manage your daily and weekly reconciliation goals independently, prioritizing tasks based on payment terms and un-reconciled buy reports
- Maintain organized digital accounting records to ensure data integrity and a seamless audit trail for weekly payment runs
- Partner with the broader Accounting team to move invoices through the review, approval and payment pipeline
What you bring:
- 1–2 years of Accounting or Finance experience is preferred, though we welcome candidates with a consistent work history and a proven ability to learn new systems quickly
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (basic formulas, sorting, and filtering)
- A focus-driven mindset that thrives on high-volume, repetitive tasks where accuracy is paramount
- A natural curiosity and problem-solving mindset to investigate why amounts aren’t aligning
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills to clearly explain discrepancies and coordinate timely resolution with internal teams
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Prior experience in advertising, media, or startup environment is a plus
