About the role

We are currently seeking committed and passionate Program Instructors to lead Enrichment and Recreation activities for the summer program. Our ideal Program Instructor will have a strong dedication to youth development, a sense of creativity and enthusiasm and be able to commit to working the entire summer program from June 5 - July 14.

Benefits

  • Pay Rate: $22 - $24 DOE
  • Stepping stone into career in education, or running your own after school program
  • Potential to return for the 2023-24 School Year, if desired

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have an AA degree or higher, 48 + college credits OR pass the SFUSD Instructional Aide Exam
  • Must pass a criminal background check and have TB Clearance
  • Must be available for ALL days of program Monday-Friday June 5th - July 14th

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to communicate openly in a professional manner with students, parents, community partners, and BACR staff.
  • Passionate about youth development
  • Experience working with Elementary youth preferred
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Ability to plan and facilitate activities for up to 20 students
  • Must be able to work independently or part of a team
  • Actively supervise and ensure student safety at all times
  • Model positive and proactive attitudes, behaviors and language

· Proof of TB Clearance

· Proof of an AA degree or higher, 48 units or more OR pass the Instructional Aide exam

Above is the pay range for this position that we reasonably expect to pay. Individual compensation is based on various factors including experience/education, skillset, and geographic location.
