Inside the Role
As a Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist II for Daimler Coaches North America, you will play a critical role in driving the financial success of our Coach operations in North America. This position is responsible for supporting comprehensive financial planning, reporting, and analysis activities, while ensuring accuracy and compliance across all financial processes. You will act as the primary liaison between Daimler Coaches North America (DCNA), Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA), Daimler Buses Germany personnel, and our valued customers, providing expert guidance on all financial aspects associated with the business. You will perform in-depth financial analyses to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities for improving DCNA’s financial performance and operational efficiency will be a key part of your responsibilities.Finally, you will prepare and present clear, concise financial reports and recommendations to management, supporting strategic decision-making, and continuously seek process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance the accuracy, timeliness, and value of financial data and reporting.

Position offers a starting salary range of $78,000.00- $100,000.00 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA
- Support the financial reporting and verification processes of the importation of motor coach parts from Europe, and the sale in the US in coordination with DCNA, DTNA and Daimler Buses personnel.
- Support the tracking and reconciliation of DCNA parts inventory accounts and DCNA fixed assets accounts, in coordination with DTNA Accounting staff.
- Manage all necessary tasks related to DCNA parts and services vendor setup, invoicing and account statements review.
- Support the month end close process for all parts related entries and verify intercompany transactions.
- Generate financial reports that enable DCNA executive personnel to better manage the ongoing business.
- Continually review all of the DCNA financial processes and use a Continuous Improvement mindset in order to improve the standard processes of DCNA.
- Provide support to the CFO, as needed, to assist in achieving the goals and objectives of DCNA.
Knowledge You Should Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline required; advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in accounting or financial planning and analysis.
- Strategic thinker that is one-step ahead of the issues and sees opportunities for improvements; demonstrating analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of basic accounting and IFRS principles as well as excellent finance and accounting acumen.
- Working proficient in financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems); experience with cbFC financial system a plus.
- Advanced working proficiency in data analytics tools Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Independent Self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Integrative approach to work, ability to think and act with a cross-functional and cross-departmental mindset.
- High level of personal and professional integrity, honesty and accountability.
- An attached resume is required.
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration.
- Relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA).
- Knowledge in Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx and Think Cell, a plus.
- Experience in automotive or heavy-duty manufacturing sector.
- Experience in Aftermarket Controlling or related areas.
- German Language skills.
- Experience working with a Start-up company transforming into a profit generating entity.
